Community Rhythms

Hey crew - it was great to gather together, reconnect from the summer, & relaunch our community group!  During dinner, we discussed a few details about our group & its rhythms, which I wanted to list out below:

• Community Dinner:
• 1st & 3rd Wednesdays
• 5.30-7PM @ The Hinkle's Home
• Planned Meal, everyone brings a few supporting sides/items for that night's theme!
• We believe community dinners are an opportunity to fulfill our biblical callings of hospitality, generosity, and community - meaning, the night is open to all newcomers, aka your friends from church who aren't in community, neighbors, etc.

• Discipleship Groups:
• 2nd & 4th Wednesdays
• 2 Shifts: 5.30-7PM & 7.30-9PM
• Location: Rotates among our group! 
• No meal, everyone brings a finger food/snack - not themed.

• Occasional 5th Wednesday - BREAK

Hopefully this schedule allows you to know what days we're meeting & whether it's discipleship group or community dinner. October is actually a 5-Wednesday month, so just for example, the schedule would be:

10/2 - Community Dinner

10/9 - Discipleship Group

10/16 - Community Dinner

10/23 - Discipleship Group

10/30 - Break, Not Meeting

Fall Launch - 9/18 @ 5.30PM

Hey everyone!

Our first dinner will be this Wednesday (9/18), 5:30-7:00PM at the Hinkle’s Home (8492 SW Umatilla St Tualatin, OR 97062), and we will be having tacos for dinner! Below is a list of items to bring! We are looking forward to seeing everyone again and launching back up the North Tualatin Community Group. During our time on Wednesday, we will reconnect and also share our vision for the group going forward; including discipleship groups, upcoming meals etc. We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!!

We're Back On 9/18 - With A Few Changes!

Well, the Bartlum's are back from fishing & our community group is resuming soon, but a few things have changed!  Since we gathered last, the Bartlum's have exchanged Tualatin for Beaverton after Dakota became the Pastor of Communities & Equipping at Colossae Beaverton.  With their transition, Alissa & I are stepping in as the community leaders for our group moving forward!  

As some of you may know, we live in an apartment, so rather than try to find Building 12 out of 36, find parking, and squeeze into our space, Andrew & Melissa Hinkle have generously opened up their home and offered to host our community dinners! Make sure to thank them as we gather in their home every other week!

Our first community group night will be held next week, September 18th ⏤ We'll be posting more details here shortly to discuss times and what food items are needed for the evening!

We're Taking the Summer Off- Gone Fishing, Be back in August

The Bartlums are embarking on their annual Alaskan adventure to take part in the 2019 Bristol Bay Commercial Salmon fishing run. We'll be back in August and we look forward to seeing everyone again. Tune in the end of summer for specific dates and times and we'll see you all then!

Here is our community group's schedule up until the end of May. Guys and ladies will alternate times as we meet every other week. Contact Dakota Bartlum at 928-380-6406to learn where the guys and ladies will hold their weekly meetings as they will change week to week. At this point we will be following the Discipleship Reading Plan located on the app. Since our discipleship classes are meeting once a month, we'll be focusing on a passage in the week #2 text for those meetings. When we meet in our Guys/ Ladies on their own there will be a snack but not a dinner.

December 30th Meeting
